Landscape of Fear
Inspired by personal visits to a cabin in the woods, this work explores notions that life is full of danger and fear can alter the use of an area. The idea of being hunted causes a state of panic and helplessness. As humans and animals co-exist in fear, emotions and spaces are constantly shifting and changing.
Landscape of Fear utilizes found and constructed objects with time based media to re-create an intimate environment. This work explores perception, mental states, and behaviour through familiar and unfamiliar situations.
This work was part of the Liminality Exhibition at Gallery 1313 in Toronto, Ontario, 2013.
